3P Media, the Official Sales Representative for Google Ads in Laos, recently hosted two workshops on Google Ads for a total of 30 tourism and hospitality businesses in Vientiane and Luang Prabang. These workshops were held in partnership with the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Laos (ECCIL) and designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to elevate their marketing strategies for upcoming tourism seasons.

Laos is an exciting destination for travellers seeking a unique and off-the-beaten-path experience. With its stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and welcoming atmosphere, it offers an unforgettable journey. Over the last x years, Laos’ tourism industry has witnessed the establishment of numerous small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), restaurants, and hotels, further boosting its economy.

The global tourism and hospitality sector heavily relies on Google Ads, a powerful platform that understands market demand, provides effective ad solutions, and measures return on investment (ROI). When used strategically and with the right technical knowledge, Google Ads can significantly enhance businesses' bottom line. Recognizing a significant missed opportunity in the Lao market, we aimed to address this promptly.

The workshops were facilitated by Ama Silva, Country Head of 3P Media Laos, Viravout Xaygnaboun, Senior Account Manager at 3P Media Laos, and Jaynevieve Davidson, Regional Account Manager at 3P Media, who are certified experts of Google Ads. Attendees had the chance to delve into the vast potential of online advertising through Google Ads. They provided practical skills, market insights, and personalized assistance, which would help them create and amplify campaigns to attract more tourists and effectively promote their properties.

Both workshops were a huge success, drawing 40 attendees, who comprised the proprietors and marketing teams of various travel and tourism companies in Laos. All attendees were also awarded a workshop completion acknowledgment certificate and were given the opportunity to participate in a fun Kahoot quiz that tested their knowledge on Google Ads. Here’s what some attendees had to say about the workshops

It also provided us with a chance to step into our guests' shoes and truly understand their planning journey for trips. Then we saw how Google Ads can come into play and support our visibility.
